What a busy week we’ve had! I’m 35 weeks pregnant now and feel like Phil and I are moving at 3,500 mph! After trying to wrap our heads around Rock’s upcoming arrival (likely around 37 weeks), we moved on to preparing for a Couples Baby Shower that our friends Amy and Kendra threw for us over the weekend! The hostesses did an AMAZING job planning, cooking, and coordinating everything! And it was so special to share the celebration day with so many people we love.
We had one day of rest on Sunday (if you call church, Bronco game, laundry, grocery shopping, and pool time ‘REST’!!!) and then focused on surviving one of the busiest weeks yet! We had a NST doctor appointment on Monday (which went great!), lunch with good friends on Tuesday, our final Child Prep class Tuesday night, our car seat inspection on Wednesday afternoon, our final baby class (Baby Safe) Wednesday night, and our specialist appointment on Thursday afternoon (which also went great!)!!! And on top of all these scheduled events, Phil has been working like a mad man at his office because this is one of his busiest times of year! We are totally exhausted today.
Our car seat inspection and Baby Safe class were SO interesting! We learned all there is to know about how to properly secure our son in his car seat, how to do infant CPR, how to handle choking, along with general safety information like baby-proofing our house. Even though it was interesting…we are thankful to be done with the late night classes! Did I mention how proud the car seat inspector was of Phil’s great installation?!. He’s a great dad already!!! (The blog picture shows Phil’s dedication to his install job…he was completely stuck in my little car trying to get the seat tight…made me smile!)
Now we just need to keep Rock fattening up for his debut, especially since most of our immediate family is out of town for the next few weeks! There are a lot of people praying for Rock to stay put until after Oct 24th!
