3rd trimester...WHAT?!.

Both my weekly email from TheBump.com and the Mayo Clinic website say that 27 weeks pregnant (which I am!) marks the beginning of the 3rd trimester…WHOA! I guess that means I need to get mentally prepared to actually deliver a baby soon!!! Our son is still the size of an eggplant this week, but his nostrils are officially open and he can practice breathing in utero now. Also, the amniotic fluid levels are only at 50% of what they once were which means I will start to be able to SEE my tummy move instead of just feel movement inside. If there is less fluid around the baby, then he’ll be bumping into walls instead of swimming in fluid now.

Phil and I had a wonderful anniversary and reunion weekend in Greeley. We stayed at the Sod Buster Inn bed and breakfast, which was wonderful. We did realize after the first night in our room, we would have to make some pregnancy adjustments in order for me to sleep better and not wake up stiff and uncomfortable (from the pain in my back and hips!). So for naptime on Saturday (and sleep time Saturday night), Phil got the inspired idea to make me a bed out of pillows! He took every pillow in the room and lined them up on my side of the bed, so I would have a cushioned sleeping runway. He only kept one little pillow for himself and gave the other five to me! No one can ever wonder why I love my husband as much as I do!!!

My Greeley West 10-yr reunion was fun too, even though we snuck out early (around 9:30pm) to head back to our room. We were exhausted by the time we got home on Sunday after family dinners and events, reunions, anniversary celebrating, and a Rock Solid Marriages party, ALL between Friday and Sunday!
